A framed 2-tone conte drawing of a young man by Alan P. Allesbrook that is dated Oct. 43. Alan Pole Allsebrook (May 26, 1880 – December 17, 1976) was a British-born Canadian artist and fruit farmer who was deaf from the age of six. He studied art under Sir Hubert von Herkomer in England before moving to Canada, where he lived in Kaslo, British Columbia, and developed an interest in recording the experiences of Japanese Canadians.
